Trading Art Game is built entirely from artworks that are in the public domain. We use high-quality images that museums have chosen to release through their open-access programmes.
Because these works are in the public domain, no one claims ownership of the artworks themselves. We are deeply grateful to the institutions below for opening their collections to the public, and we want to credit them clearly.
Museums
The paintings in the app are sourced from the open-access collections of:
- National Gallery of Art (Washington, D.C.) — open access / image-use policy
- Städel Museum (Frankfurt) — open access / image-use policy
- Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam) — open access / image-use policy
- SMK – National Gallery of Denmark (Copenhagen) — open access / image-use policy
